Join Our Team: Events Administration Assistant – Casino Beef Week

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Events Administration Assistant for Casino Beef Week. If you have a passion for events, excellent communication skills, and a knack for organization, this role could be perfect for you!


The Events Administration Assistant will be responsible for communicating with internal and external stakeholders both in person, over the phone, and via email before and during Casino Beef Week. This role will involve assisting in basic administration tasks while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Events Co-ordinator and other team members to ensure that all communication and administrative duties are carried out effectively and efficiently.


  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders in person, over the phone, and via email to answer questions and provide information about events and activities during Casino Beef Week.
  • Assist in basic administration tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with managing event logistics such as equipment rentals and event set-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of all event-related activities, including attendance, feedback, and other relevant data.
  • Provide support for post-event activities, including follow-up communications and evaluation of feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of event planning and execution.
  • Create visually appealing marketing materials using graphic design software to promote the festival and its events.
  • Respond to email inquiries and requests from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.


  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or events support role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience with HubSpot or similar CRM, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and WordPress would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Familiarity with events management software would be an asset.


A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or events management, would be an asset.


The Events Administration Assistant is a casual role that is engaged most of the year, with unpaid breaks during the Christmas Holidays. The position will be required to work during Casino Beef Week, which takes place annually in May, and may include evening and weekend work during the festival period. Additionally, there may be other events throughout the year that may require additional hours. The position is primarily based in an office setting but may require some off-site work.
