With less than 100 days to go until the annual NCMC Casino Beef Week, the theme for the 2019 festival has been announced. Event organisers had sixty two excellent theme ideas submitted by the public via an online survey and  Heather Dennis’ suggestion “AUSTRALIAN MADE” was chosen to be this years NCMC Casino Beef Week Theme.

Casino Beef Week President Frank McKey was excited to announce this year’s theme alongside the 2018 Queen Maddy Barrett at the 100 Day Launch on Thursday 7 February at the Casino RSM Club.

“Australian Made is a fantastic theme and gives everyone a broad range of ideas for the annual dress up competition and street parade,” said Frank.

Queen Maddy Barrett said, “Australian Made dress ups can be in the form of Aussie legends such as Donald Bradman and Steve Irwin, native animals and food orientated ideas including the famous Aussie Tim Tams… and most importantly our AUSTRALIAN BEEF!”

For everyone who loves nothing more than to dress up for Beef Week - this is now a great time to get your school, business or organisation involved. With less than 100 days to go, it is time to start brainstorming ideas for your spectacular displays and dress ups.

This year’s festival will be taking place from 18 - 28 May with tickets on sale, registrations and competitions opening very soon. Make sure you tag the Casino Beef Week Facebook page in all your Beef Week photos. Use #casinobeefweek on Twitter and Instagram and make sure your posts are set on public so they can be shared.
