The 2018 Beef Week Dress Up Competition is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with the Beef Week theme ‘Celebrate Rural Australia’ inspiring the community to strive for the title of best dressed.

Hosted by the Casino Chamber of Commerce & Industry, President Neale Genge said that there is a lot of interest from local businesses and planning is well underway.

“It’s fantastic to see the town all dressed up and the Beef Week spirit coming alive. We invite everyone to come along and celebrate the tremendous effort made by the community and local businesses to get involved and celebrate Beef Week,” Mr Genge said.

Event organisers are inviting schools, businesses, social groups and sporting clubs to enter the competition. There will be 4 categories: Internal & Dress Up Staff 5 and Over, Internal & Dress Up Staff 5 and Under, Window Display Only and Schools & Care Providers. A total of $800 in prize money, sponsored by the Casino Chamber of Commerce, is up for grabs for the lucky winners.

With less than 5 weeks to go until Beef Week, entries are already flooding in. Judging will take place between Monday 21 and Wednesday 23 May during the 36th NCMC Casino Beef Week festival. Winners will be announced at the Hotel Cecil on Wednesday evening at 5.30pm.
